My love of photography started not long after I began blogging and even though I still haven't found the time to actually get good at taking photos, the equipment that I've been lucky enough to use over the years has given me a cheeky head start. Today I'm going to tell you about a discovery I made that's going to help you upgrade your camera equipment without paying a fortune! This is the point where I should tell you that this is not a sponsored post or even a review commissioned by the company I'm going to tell you about - they were genuinely recommended by a friend and I was over … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things I’ve done this week {23rd March 2018}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life.1) I made a huge (and I mean huge) batch of chilli last weekend with the intention of us having chilli and rice on Saturday night and then freezing the rest in batches so we had plenty in. I find chilli to be really versatile as it goes with rice and pasta, is great as a topping on jacket potatoes or potato wedges, works brilliantly on nachos and is perfect just on its own in a … [Read more...]
How YouTube can save you money….
I used to think YouTube was just for the kids to learn how to build things in Minecraft but when I was off work poorly a while ago, I realised that was most definitely not the case!I couldn't even begin to imagine how many videos are available to watch on YouTube but I do know that whatever your interests are - there's going to be something on there for you.I started watching YouTube when I was off work because I was lonely through the day when everyone was at work and school andI'm not a big TV watcher so we don't have a TV in our bedroom. My heart sank immediately and I felt a little bit sick - a feeling not helped by the fact that the lady serving me might as well have put a tannoy out as she was that loud when she announced to the world that my payment had been declined.I quickly grabbed my other card out of my bag and the payment went through … [Read more...]
