Being a diabetic, I often feel like I'm missing out on certain foods so now that I feel like I've got a bit more of a handle on managing my diabetes, I'm trying to look for diabetic alternatives to the foods I enjoy so that I can continue to enjoy them. Today, I'm going to share my recipe for Airfryer low carb pancakes. I've recently started to use almond flour as an alternative to normal flour because it has a much lower carbohydrate content which makes it better for diabetics. It contains around 21g of carbohydrates per 100g compared to normal flour which typically has … [Read more...]
#OldSchool Meal Planning Monday….
As part of my frugal reset, I've been sharing our weekly meal plans on here again and I'll be honest, I've really enjoyed the old school blog posts again along with the accountability that I get from sharing something with you all!Meal planning makes me feel more organised and saves me time and money, every single week. Since I got back into meal planning (after an expensive break from it 😁), I've really enjoyed spending time on a Sunday planning what we'll be eating over the coming week. I love the feeling of being organised when I go to the shops using the list I've … [Read more...]

As part of my frugal reset, I've been sharing our weekly meal plans on here again and I'll be honest, I've really enjoyed the old school blog posts again along with the accountability that I get from sharing something with you all!I love our home - it's filled with love and laughter - and very few kitchen gadgets. 😁We don't have a big enough kitchen to warrant many kitchen gadgets so what we do have, needs to be well worth the space it takes up. For that reason, when I moved in, I didn't bring my big family sized air fryer and for the last few years, we've only had a super … [Read more...]
Family Meals for under a fiver – Macaroni Cheese….
In last week's five frugal things post, I shared one of our favourite family meals and how it cost around £5 to cook enough minced beef and onions for four large portions which is more than enough to feed a family. Macaroni cheese has always been a family favourite meal for us and at one point, I pretty much cooked it weekly as every time I wrote a meal plan, the kids asked me to make sure that this was on there. I cooked it because everyone enjoyed it but I loved that it was a quick and easy, budget meal that made me look like a great cook as every plate was empty at the … [Read more...]
