If you follow my Five Frugal Things posts each week then you've probably seen some of the things I did for my super cheap bathroom makeover a couple of weeks ago but I thought I'd bring them all together in one post today! So, first up, I wasn't planning on a post so I don't actually have any before pictures but it was very much a blah room - nothing really wrong with it but nothing really right either and it was looking very dated as it's the only room in the house that's never had any attention other than a new floor. It's been top of my list for a makeover for so long but … [Read more...]

My favourite online Charity shops….
I do love a good rummage around a charity shop and have only recently discovered that lots of my favourite ones actually have online charity shops so today, I'm sharing some of my favourites with you. You'll know how much I love my pre-loved bargains if you regularly read this blog as I often share a bargain in my weekly five frugal things posts and more recently, there's my monthly pre-loved bargain series. With everything that's been going on in the world, I've missed my regular rummages through the charity shops near me so you can imagine how excites I was when I discovered … [Read more...]
Homemade Toilet Bombs….
I've been making homemade toilet bombs for years now and seeing as I've just made a batch today, I thought I'd share how I make them. I love homemade cleaning recipes and I think these little toilet bombs were actually my first little DIY cleaning project. They worked really well so I often make a batch to keep in the main bathroom - especially since I discovered that Wilko do boxes of citric acid and baking soda quite cheaply! I used to buy Citric Acid from Amazon which usually cost more than double the boxes I can get in Wilko. There's a couple of reasons I like these … [Read more...]
Day Six of my week off – Blog Catch up Day…
If you caught Sunday's post then you'll know that I've gone all old school this week and am blogging daily to share with you what I've been up to that day seeing as I have a week off work with LOTS of things on the t0-do list! I now realised why I stopped this kind of blogging! 😂 I have pretty much nothing of interest to tell you today so I almost didn't write a post but I promised myself that I'd go back to this style of blogging for just a week so that's what I'm doing. I promise it's only for a week though so don't worry, normal service will be resumed shortly. I … [Read more...]
Freezer Burritos – my new favourite grab and go lunch….
Freezer burritos are a fantastic way to not only use up leftovers but also to guarantee that you're going to always have a super quick lunch or snack to hand whenever you need one! **I'm going to start by apologising for the photos of the freezer burritos which really aren't great - it was the greyest day outside when I was taking them and I really wasn't expecting to share these on here as a separate post so I didn't do any faffing. I had planned to just share them on a five frugal things weekly post but they went down so well that I decided they deserved their own post.** I … [Read more...]
10 tips for teaching a teenager to drive…
Teaching a teenager to drive is not an easy task so today, I thought I'd share some of my tips in case you ever find yourself in that position! I never thought I'd be sharing a post filled with tips to help you if you're teaching a teenager to drive! Genuinely, I'm not the best driver in the world myself and I never had any intention of teaching my own teens to drive. But then Lockdown happened! Miss Frugal was desperate to learn to drive as soon as she turned 17 last September but after a couple of lessons with a local firm, she lost all enthusiasm and was reluctant to book more lessons … [Read more...]
