I need to get myself organised. Everything's been really hectic in the last few months (in a good way) and it's getting harder and harder to keep track of who should be where and when. The house is in a bit of a state as I never seem to have time to do everything that I need to so. Family friendly Frugal Meals – Lemon Turkey Pappadelle Pasta….
I haven't posted my meal plan for a few weeks as it's been a bit samey samey lately! In fact, most weeks I could just copy and paste the previous weeks plan and change the days around a bit. I'm not making excuses but I leave for work at 7.20 in the morning, dropping the kids off at breakfast club for 7.30. It's been a few weeks since I've actually sat and typed up our weekly menu but I have been sticking to my meal planning (mostly) and using my meal planning wall planner ;-) We're on countdown to our holidays (6 weeks to go) so I'm going to be extra frugal this week and try and have another 'shopping from our cupboards' week which is even easier than usual thanks to the brilliant bargains I've got from the reduced section in our supermarket lately! Family Friendly Frugal Meals – Turkey Meatballs….
Sunday - Turkey meatballs with spaghetti. Monday - Macaroni Cheese Tuesday - Quick tea for the kids as I'm off out I think so they'll be having Fishfingers, chips and minty mushy peas. Wednesday - Homemade chilli with sweet potato wedges. Thursday - Spicy sausage and bean casserole. Friday - Picnic party tea I think as the kids were gutted that they were too poorly to go to Maxi's birthday bowling night. Yesterday I went to the official launch of MFEST which is a family festival taking place this July at Harewood House near Leeds and promises to be a 'Feast of British Music and Food'. Family Friendly Frugal Meals – Paella….
I'm not sure if I've said on here before but I started following the Slimming World plan in January although I don't go to the meetings as I can't really justify to myself spending £4 or £5 a week just to be weighed and have someone tell me how good/bad I'm doing (I'm sure it's more than that but you know what I mean). So far I've lost a stone and apart from the occasional blip, I've found it really easy to stick to and I'm learning that the majority of meals that I cook can easily be adapted with a few tweaks here and there.
