I've just read a brilliant post by Frugal Queen about a photograph that she loves so much that she would run back into a burning house to save it. Frugal Queen asks - If you could only take one thing (apart from the kids) from a burning house, what would it be? I've given this some very serious consideration ;-) and realised that I can't choose just one bag from my handbag collection, that would just be unfair to the others, I also realise that I probably can manage without my hair straighteners and my juicy tubes for a short time and that my Smeg fridge probably isn't a saveable object … [Read more...]
The Gallery – Creatures
This weeks theme for The Gallery is 'Creatures', so I've had a look through my (many, many) photos and found some that fit the bill....This weird looking creature is a Dragon Sea Horse - you can just make out Master Frugal's reflection in the picture. He was fascinated by it.We all got to hold a starfish when we went to the Sea Life Centre recently - it was that or a crab!Miss Frugal likes to pretend this horse is hers, it lives in a field near us so we often go for a walk on a night to say hello to 'Patches'.Miss Frugal watching Bruno the seal. If you haven't taken part in … [Read more...]

I asked Mr Frugal not to eat all the chocolate fingers last night as I never get a look in when he's around - this is what I found when I came downstairs this morning. I'm presuming he thinks this is funny! … [Read more...]
Play Doh Fun….
FACT - Children love play doh. So can you imagine my children's delight when we received a parcel in the post from play doh?I don't think I need any more words to tell you about our play doh fun - I'll let their faces tell you how much fun they had: You can't beat Play Doh for keeping the kids quiet can you? After my previous experiences of Play Doh, I put a black plastic sack under the kids chairs to catch all those little bits that my two manage to get everywhere and then trample through the house which meant that they could play happily without me howvering over them, … [Read more...]
The Gallery – Motherhood
This weeks theme for The Gallery is Motherhood - my favourite prompt so far. I was going to tell you about how much I love being a mum or about how I am filled with love everytime I look at my babies or I could have even told you about how proud I am of them both.... But instead, I'll just let my pictures tell you how much I love being a mum. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone elses entries for this week. If you've never entered before pop over to Tara's blog and find out all about the Gallery. … [Read more...]
Disaster Strikes….
What a day! My peaceful lazy morning was rudely interrupted by Mr Frugal noticing that the freezer decided that today was the day it needed to defrost itself. I personally think it was a little bit jealous of all the attention it's Smeg counterpart has been getting latelyand thought it would get a bit of attention of it's own.It must have had it's little meltdown overnight because everything in there was completely defrosted so I have now had to spend the rest of the day cooking up a storm trying to use everything that I could.I made chicken and ham pie and a small corned beef and … [Read more...]
