A shower door might look like a pretty simple part of the bathroom — just a piece of glass that opens and closes. But in reality, it’s doing quite a lot of work behind the scenes. I know this because this last week, we've been searching for shower doors ourselves and there is way more to think about than you would expect! The average shower door carries weight, moves on hinges or rollers, and has to deal with heat, steam and water every single day. Over time, that wear and tear can start to show if the door isn’t particularly well made. You’ve probably seen it … [Read more...]
Pressing Pause: How I find Calm Everyday….
The past few months been a bit tough here, and a couple of things that have happened have really made me stop and think about how I’ve been living and what needs to change going forward. I've been forced to stop, slow down and reflect on what I have and what I could have had - and yes, I know this sounds super cryptic but it's been a difficult time and honestly, I think it's probably a bit too personal to share the details. Even without the detail though, it's really important to me that you know that these aren't just words on your computer or phone screen, these are changes … [Read more...]
I bought a Crimpit {Pre-loved}….
A few years ago, I bought a CRIMPiT and completely fell in love with it. I loved it so much that I actually dedicated a whole blog post to the wonders of this little kitchen gadget (which you can still read if you fancy it). But for the quick version: a CRIMPiT is a simple tool that seals the filling inside a sandwich, which instantly makes it more versatile. Once it’s sealed, you can toast it, grill it, or crisp it up into a toastie filled with pretty much anything your heart desires. I used it loads when I was doing Slimming World. It worked brilliantly with those sandwich thins you can … [Read more...]

Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey!So first up, I know that these weekly posts have been very few and far between for the last few months and there's a very good reason for that. I've not been very well and I've needed some time off work while I waited for an operation - nothing too dramatic but enough that it's wiped me out for a little while. I thought it was time to start them … [Read more...]
The Role of Play-Based Learning in an Early Years Nursery….
Play-based learning has emerged as the cornerstone of quality early childhood education, transforming how children engage with learning in their formative years. In an early years nursery setting, this educational approach recognises that children are naturally curious and learn best through hands-on exploration and discovery. Rather than traditional instruction methods, play-based learning allows young minds to develop essential skills whilst experiencing the joy and wonder of childhood. Understanding Play-Based Learning in Early Years Settings Play-based learning in an early years nursery … [Read more...]
Nine things you can make in the Airfryer that might surprise you….
I know I'm late to the Airfryer party but since we got our Ninja Pro last month, I've been experimenting with the different things that I can cook in there and today, I thought I'd share some of the things that I've been cooking in there. One of my most popular posts at the moment is 'Nine things that you can make in the slow cooker that might surprise you' so I thought I'd do a similar post about Airfryers because in my limited time of having one, I've realised just how versatile they can be. I have a few accessories that I use with my air fryer - I bought them when I … [Read more...]
