Camping is one of the best budget-friendly family adventures – fresh air, open space, and no screens in sight. But no matter how carefully you pack, there are always a few essential camping items that are easy to overlook. Trust me, I know from experience that forgetting any of the essentials can turn a relaxing trip into a stressful one! 😁We are huge fans of camping and have a great little camping set up which we bought super cheap on Facebook Marketplace and I've previously shared some top tips on where to pitch your tent when you're on a trip but today, it's all about the … [Read more...]

Five Frugal Things we did this week {20th March 2026}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey!1) I found a pound on the floor when I walked down into our village high street on Sunday so I thought I'd use it to buy a scratch card. 😁 I won £10 so cashed it straight in and went to the charity shop where I bought myself a pair of trousers that I'll wear loads (Next, brand new with the tags still on them) and a pair of Zara trousers … [Read more...]
How we holidayed in the South of France for £235 per person….
At 23 and 20, I find it difficult to know what to buy the kids for Christmas. They have lives (and homes) of their own and as they both earn their own money, if they want something, they generally buy it straight away or save for it out of their wages which makes them hard to buy for. Add that to the fact that I've been a huge fan of giving experiences over gifts since they hit their early teens when they're old enough to understand the value of an experience rather than a big present and you can imagine the time that I usually spend of trying to think of the perfect experience related … [Read more...]
Nine things you can make in the Airfryer that might surprise you….
I know I'm late to the Airfryer party but since we got our Ninja Pro last month, I've been experimenting with the different things that I can cook in there and today, I thought I'd share some of the things that I've been cooking in there. One of my most popular posts at the moment is 'Nine things that you can make in the slow cooker that might surprise you' so I thought I'd do a similar post about Airfryers because in my limited time of having one, I've realised just how versatile they can be. I have a few accessories that I use with my air fryer - I bought them when I … [Read more...]
This month’s Batch Cooking wins….
This month I feel like I’ve properly found my rhythm in the kitchen with some really intentional cooking. Nothing fancy, nothing Instagram-perfect, just food that actually works for us.I’ve been batch cooking a few simple things, popping them in the freezer, and quietly feeling that little glow of achievement (AKA feeling smug) every time dinner comes together with no stress. It’s made such a difference to how the weeks have felt, so I wanted to share a few of the batch cooking wins that have genuinely made life easier.I thought I'd share a few of my batch cooking wins from this … [Read more...]
What I’ve learned by slowing down this Christmas….
This Christmas has felt a little different for me and I shared a little bit about why that was a few weeks ago so I'll not bore you with that again. (You can read my post here if you want to though) I wanted to be really intentional this year and to enjoy the build up to Christmas without putting any pressure on myself to make everything perfect - in the past I've stressed out over everything from advent calendars to days out and from finding the perfect presents for everyone to presenting the perfect Christmas dinner. There was no way I was putting myself through all of that again … [Read more...]
