Is this time of year the best time to buy a pre-loved tent? I think it is - especially as I just got a great deal on a tent myself on Facebook Marketplace.Next year's holiday is highly unlikely to be a trip abroad for us so after the success of this Summer's camping trip, I thought investing in a bigger tent might be worthwhile. The problem is that tents are actually super expensive and after several trips to Go Outdoors to get an idea of the kind of tent that would work for us, I realised that although camping would mean we could have a really good value getaway next Summer, … [Read more...]

Five Frugal Things we did last week {12th November 2023}….
Every now and again (used to be weekly ;-), maybe it will be again) I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐Long time no see! I've really got out of the habit of taking pictures of what I get up to so you'll have to forgive me as I try and write this post today as I'm pretty sure that I have no pictures of half of the things I'm going to be writing about. ;-)1) I've only gone … [Read more...]
Five Frugal Things we did this week {27th May 2022}….
Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) I know I only just shared this month's pre-loved bargains post but I found a beautiful French Connection dress in my local charity shop last Sunday! It was £7.99 which is more than I'd usually pay for a dress in a charity shop but I just loved it and you can feel the quality of the fabric and see from the style that it's a really well-made dress … [Read more...]

Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Warning: there is no way that I can make this look pretty as it's basically orange mush but it's an extremely tasty and healthy orange mush so I'm … [Read more...]

That's why today's post is all about how to rescue old clothes!I love a good pre-loved bargain when it comes to clothes but every now and again, I get a bargain home and find a little flaw that I missed in the shop in my excitement to grab a deal. I do usually give them a good check but I inevitably do miss things every now and again and finding a flaw on an item when I get home hurts me! 😂And it's not just my pre-loved bargains that sometimes need a bit of TLC, I have … [Read more...]
What I made in a weekend selling on Vinted….
I know I'm always telling you how to sell on Vinted but today, I thought I'd go one step further and share how I made money selling on Vinted last weekend to encourage you to give it a try!I say this in every month's pre-loved bargains post (and probably at least half of my five frugal things posts) but I have a one in, one out policy when it comes to clothes and shoes so if I buy something to add to my wardrobe then I choose something else to sell on Vinted or add something to the pile to donate to the charity shop near where I live. That's pretty much the only way I can … [Read more...]
