I just realised that I wrote a gift guide for tween and teen girls (based on Miss Frugal) and one for boys aged 9 ish (based on Master Frugal) but I haven't done anything for Dads. Dads are the hardest people to buy for if you ask me - my Dad gets a bottle of port and a big slab of blue stilton every year without fail as that's all he wants and as boring as it may be, at least I know he'll enjoy it. I know it's a bit early for Elf on a Shelf but lots of people have started following my Elf on a Shelf Pinterest board over the last week so I figured people might be starting to plan their elf activities a little earlier this year! Here we are, just two weeks left until school starts again! I have no idea where the time is going but the last four weeks have just flown by. There have been times (more than I care to admit) in the past where weekday mornings getting ready for school have consisted of tears, a little bit of shouting and the odd phone call from the school to say the kids have forgotten their packed lunches! Review: Cayton Bay Holiday Park….
A few weeks ago we were asked if we wanted to have a lovely weekend away with Park Resorts. It sounded like a great idea to have a cheeky weekend away before the madness of the last few weeks of term hit us so we said yes, chose the lovely sounding Cayton Bay Holiday Resort in North Yorkshire and set off on our travels one rainy Friday at the start of July. Summer Living Room Makeover….
We've been having a bit of a Summer makeover this weekend, updating the Living room with a few little bits and bobs to brighten it up for Summer and I'm really pleased with the results so I thought you might like to see them. I like to keep the decor itself quite neutral usually which allows me to change things around without a big redecorating project and without spending a lot.
