Meal Planning – the Slimming World Way

This week’s meal plan is going to be be a bit of a nightmare. I have to plan for a fussy eating 4 year old, a can’t cook, won’t cook other half and on top of that, I need to make sure that it’s Slimming World friendly!

I think until I have got the hang of being back on Slimming World I’m going to eat simple things that I’m familiar with rather than try anything elaborate or time consuming, more for the fact that I will be cooking separate meals for me initially. Once I’ve got my head round it I will introduce it more to the rest of the family and gradually try to adapt our family favourites to SW style.
For this week, I have listed the SW meals in purple and the lunches on my meal plan refer to my lunches as the kids have packed lunches and Mr Frugal has his dinner at work in his works canteen which is really cheap.

Thursday
Lunch – Something with eggs as thats all we’ve got in lol
Tea – Tuna Pasta Bake

Friday
Lunch – Home made SW quiche
Tea – McDonalds for the kids and Mr Frugal as a treat and something easy for me from the shop when we do the shopping to go with my favourite snack ever (in the whole wide world), chilli and lime baked tomatoes.

Saturday
Lunch – Croisssants, cereal and toast – whatever takes their fancy I guess.
SW- Egg on wholemeal toast.
Tea – We’re at a birthday party in the afternoon so not much needed for tea today. I think we might have home made wraps with ham and some salad. I need to get some popcorn too as I think we are having a family movie night.
SW – Jacket Potato with Cottage Cheese and Salad. Grapes instead of popcorn

Sunday
Lunch – American Style Pancakes
SW – Egg on wholemeal toast
Tea – Roast Chicken, yorkshire puddings, roasties and veg – Again…. Always goes down well though so why not?
SW – Chicken, Veg and potatoes, Might have a bit of gravy and use some syns or might go without as I’m not a big fan of gravy.

Monday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Chicken nuggets with oven chips as I’m at work and Mr Frugal can’t really cope with anything too complicated.
SW – Home made SW friendly chilli and rice for me and Mr Frugal.

Tuesday
Lunch – Home made SW quiche
Tea – Homemade macaroni cheese for the kids and Mr Frugal – Back by popular request lol.
SW – Jacket Potato, chicken breast, Morrison’s syn free sausages and some grilled mushrooms.

Wednesday
Lunch – Sandwiches
Tea – Toad in the hole
SW – Probably the same as last night for me.

Phew, I can see meal times are going to be slightly complicated this week!
