Designer Labels – a waste of money or worth every penny….
I've had a bit of an up and down week this week but one lovely thing did happen at work the other day completely out of the blue - I received a long service award as I've worked with the same company for 10 years.I was given a lovely framed certificate thanking me for my work, along with a silver engraved keyring, a silver photo holder and a small catalogue of gifts to choose from. The gifts were really impressive (to me anyway) - matching his and hers Armani watches, a Tissot watch, a Radley Cheadle bag and a Links of London Sweetie bracelet among other things.I decided to go for the … [Read more...]
How to make a wall planner for your meal plans….
I know, I've gone a bit meal planning mental this week but I promise this is the last post on the subject (for at least the rest of the week anyway).Usually, I have our week's meals written on a scrap of paper, stuck on the front of the fridge if I'm feeling particularly organised, somewhere at the bottom of my handbag if I'm not! My week in Instagram – 31/12/11….

So......I'll probably be back tomorrow with my New Years Resolutions as I love to sit and write a list of resolutions on New Years Day but tonight I wanted to share with you (or at least those of you who are not out partying or too drunk to see a computer screen) the first of my resolutions.I've started to use my Iphone as my main camera lately, mostly because my DSLR is too big and bulky to carry everywhere with me and also because it's actually a really good little camera. I use an app called … [Read more...]
A Frugal New Year – Saving energy around the home…
I'm working with Britmums and British Gas at the moment on a campaign to help educate people about energy conservation which is perfect timing as my next post about how to have a Frugal New Year was going to be all about reminding you how to save energy as a family. I know I'm always going on about saving energy but it really is important and to make sure you really get the message, I'm going to share with you something that my daughter was taught at school: Using Less Energy = Lower Energy Bills + Less Impact on the Environment To a 9 year old it's a no brainer really, why would you not … [Read more...]
