After the success of our sticky lemon muffins on Friday night, we thought we'd have a go at making some of the lovely looking recipes on the recipe cards that Nintendo sent us last week. Last week we were sent a fantastic magic kit by the lovely people at Innocent and I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that Master Frugal's eyes almost popped on when he saw it. He shut himself away for an hour yesterday with it and then gathered us all in the living room for his 'show' and he actually did amaze me with some of the tricks he managed to pull off. Sticky Lemon Muffins….
Tonight was a good night - we made some sticky lemon muffins together and ate ice lollies while they cooked! The muffins tasted gorgeous (especially warm) so I thought I'd share our secret sticky lemon muffin recipe with you.... A clean house is the sign of a wasted life. Right?
We've all heard (and some have probably used) the phrase ' A clean house is the sign of a wasted life' haven't we? And what about this one? Both great mottos for life and I actually kind of agree with both of them if I'm honest. But, even though there's nothing wrong with a bit of dust on the TV cabinet or a carpet that needs a bit of a hoover or even a skirting board that needs a clean, I do always feel happier if things are clean and sparkly as well as tidy. Homemade Jelly….
Have you ever tried making your own jelly? I'd never even thought about it really because jelly isn't exactly expensive and there's so many flavours to choose from so it seemed like a bit of a waste of time and energy making it. A fishy tale with a sad ending….
One of our goldfish sadly died yesterday, we had been expecting it so it wasn't a shock but it was still a sad moment. We held a very touching toilet burial ceremony for Jackson which involved us saying a few words to thank him for the contribution he made to our fishy community and to send him to the big blue sea in the sky. We grieved for an hour or so and then headed off to the Pet shop to replace him (as you do) and ended up buying two because the kids couldn't decide on which one to get.
