Has anyone noticed that Cadbury’s Cream Eggs are in the shops again…. How mad is that? The decorations have just come down and the kids are picking out their Easter eggs!
Anyway moving swiftly on, Master Frugal is still hobbling around feeling sorry for himself. We took him back to the hospital yesterday and they have redressed his poorly foot and told us to go back again tomorrow for a further assessment. The nurse said that she ‘thinks’ his toenail will grow back!
I hate feet, let alone a foot with a toenail missing, I hope it grows back quick.

Miss Frugal has kindly taken a photo of the injured foot and believe me, you are lucky you can’t see the toe itself – it’s not pretty!
I went back to work yesterday which was horrible, I enjoy my job but I would much rather be a happy little housewife who stays at home and spends time with the kids. I know that it’s not easy being a stay at home mum but I really feel like I do all the same things as a stay at home mum would do as well as working full time. I work 35 hours a week but do slightly longer days so that I can have an extra day off each week. Mr Frugal works 39 hours a week but starts at 5am so he is home in time to pick the kids up from school.
At least this way we don’t have to pay for any child care costs (other than school breakfast club at £25 each child per term) and there is always someone there for the kids. I just wish it was more me than Mr Frugal.
It’s OK, I’ll stop whingeing now. I know I am really lucky and at least the time I spend with the kids is quality time and we always do lots of fun stuff together (well I think it’s fun). Tonight we have made a quick piggy sponge cake, it actually doesn’t resemble a pig in any way other than the fact that the icing is pink but it tasted nice.

Mr Frugal looooves Cadbury's cream eggs, he must spend a fortune on them so I am always glad when the shops stop selling them….
I would love to have a job like yours Smiffy but I can see what you mean about a drop in salary, we wouldn't be able to cope with that I don't think!
Diney, I am guessing you are still snowed in as the weathers just getting worse… Make the most of it!
No…..can't believe cream eggs are in the shops (but then, I've been marooned in my Northumberland village due to heavy snow for days now!!!!)
Hehehe, loved the feet comment ;-D – Funny thing is I feel the same way about the Cadbury's Cream Eggs!
I know, I saw the Cream eggs in Tesco's yesterday…but they are lovely so I'll let them off lol. I know what you mean about working…it's no fun. I am lucky now as I work in a school and don't start till 8.45 so I can drop off the kids before hand and finish around 3 depending on work load…and the best thing is I get the holidays off. But this means a reduction in salary compared to my previous positions so to compensate my DH works lates 2 – 10pm which is a shame as he is not around in the week for the kids and often works Saturday daytime so Sundays are really precious. What we do for our kids !! S x
