Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Hey! 👐1) I've had some cucumber plants donated to my growing collection of plants in our back garden. 😁That means we have tomato plants, chilli, rocket, strawberries as well as cucumbers in various pots and planters which I love as it's a corner of green in a garden with no grass. I'm excited for all the home grown food we're going to … [Read more...]
This month’s pre-loved bargains {May 2025}….
You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it's from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online and so I love to do a monthly post dedicated to sharing some of my bargains with you!I've got some fab bargains to share this month. 😁First up, a couple of lovely finds from an antique shop we came across a couple of weeks ago. It was down an alleyway, in a cute little village and was genuinely the prettiest little shop. The lady who owned the shop was even lovelier than the shop and we had a lovely time wandering around her shop and … [Read more...]

Every week I share five frugal things that I've done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. Since then, we've tried all sorts of different lemonade flavours - blueberry, peach, strawberry and even a lavender flavour (which wasn't my biggest triumph) and they've all been lovely but on a hot day, there's no doubt in my … [Read more...]

Homemade flatbread – quick, easy and brilliant….
Homemade flatbread is amazing because it's so versatile as well as being so easy to make that my two children could make it pretty much on their own from junior school. We used to have homemade flatbread with soup, made into mini pizzas, we use them as pocketless pitta bread filled with lovely fillings, as burger buns, wrapped around hot dogs, with scrambled egg and bacon on - you name it, we've probably served it with a homemade flatbread at some point. We always made this by hand rather than in our bread maker for no other reason than it just felt like more of a rustic … [Read more...]
