Miss Frugal came home yesterday dying to try out the recipe she had learned that day in her ‘fun with food’ class at school. She’s really enjoying the classes and after her Cartwheel Sandwiches turned out to be such a success last week, I decided to let her show us how to make pasta salad by cooking it for us all for tea.
First of all you cook and cool some pasta and put it into a big bowl.
Chop up some cucumber, tomato and red onion and add them to the bowl.
Add some tinned sweetcorn and some cooked ham.
Mix it all together.

Serve and eat.

It was actually really nice and it’s so simple to make, it’s probably one of the better recipes that she has learned since she started these classes. The first week they made toadstools using a piece of cheese for the stalk and half an egg with blobs of ketchup on the top for the toadstool bit – Yuk!!!!

I will stick a link to this website on my website. I am certain my readers will find this info very useful.

Shame she can't do the pots yet lol
Off to see your meme now x
The toadstool sounds 'interesting'! Must be nice to get tea made for you for a change. I love pasta salad, I have tuna instead instead of ham though
I think it would be nicer with tuna – I think we'll try that later as she's dying to make it again.
The toadstools do sound yummy don't they (not)…..
That's some little chef you've got there! The dish looks so yummy! Thanks for sharing. I'm a new follower the Friday Blog Hop. Blessings!
Thanks very much – Let me know your blog address and I'll pop over x
Nice recipe.
I am inspire with her.
Thank you x
Yum! What a fun recipe for kids!!! I'm your newest follower from the Friday Hop.
I don't understand the 'let'smake it look like something' school of cooking with children at all.
Me neither, they don't taste nice and with a seven year old they don't even look like they're supposed to!
Oh bless! It is such an important thing to get kids interested in cooking and it is great that she is loving it so much that she wants to come home and cook for you too : )
lol It's only great when the recipe is a normal one – she keeps asking if she can make me egg, cheese and ketchup toadstools!
