After last week’s rather wasteful shopping trip and cobbled together meal plan I’m back in the game this week with a nicely organised meal plan which was planned in advance as it should be.
We seem to have a really busy week this week so I suspect there’ll be a bit of chopping and changing but we have enough in that we should be able to get away with that without having to pop to the shop.
Here’s what we have planned….
I had some prawns in the freezer so I made a quick prawn curry tonight for tea although I may have cheated a teeny bit as I used two of the jars of curry sauce that I have in the cupboard. In my defence, i’s Monday and I’m tired! 😉
I have big portion of leftover bolognaise in the freezer so I’m going to get that out tonight and when it’s defrosted I’ll use it to make a nice homemade lasagne which we’ll have with garlic bread and salad.
Mr Frugal is on lates on Wednesday so I think we’ll have roasted Mediterranean veg with chicken and chickpeas.
Definitely something with mince and something cooked in the slow cooker. I can do mince and dumplings, chilli or bolognaise depending on what we fancy.
We’re planning Toad in the hole with mash and gravy for tea on Friday and I can’t wait.
We had so much fun making our own calzones a while ago that I think we’ll try them again on Saturday for tea.
Sunday is nothing to do with me – I am hoping to be spoiled and have someone else cook Sunday Dinner!
