Last week Miss Frugal announced that she was ready to cook us a meal. At first, I wasn’t quite sure whether this was a good idea or not but she wore me down and we agreed that she would cook spaghetti and meatballs – never let it be said that she doesn’t aim high lol.
I’ve never made meatballs before and I wasn’t really sure what to put in them (apart from the meat bit obviously) so I googled for a recipe but there were so many variations that I gave up and decided to let her do what she wanted (obviously keeping the pizza menu to hand just in case).
After lots of squishing and face pulling she started to make the meatballs which was a long, long process. She made big meatballs, baby meatballs, and even square meatballs – each one had to be looked at and talked about and was then carefully place on to the meatball plate!

They look brilliant! She should be proud of herself. I haven’t got past pizza yet with my two on the home cooking front (aged 4 & 6), but I think they would love rolling meatballs.
Love your blog!

She's available to hire lol….
We are definitely going to let her do it again as she is so proud of herself 😉
Also, did you know that to stop them from breaking up, you should heat the sauce first before adding the meatballs – ther's a top tip for you x

I'm seriously impressed! I've yet to make a meatball that actually stays in the shape of a ball – mine generally disintergrate so we end up with good old-fashioned spagbol!
