Master Frugal is bit of a fussy eater but one thing he’s always enjoyed is cereal. Until today that is, thanks to his older but not wiser sister.
Me: What do you want for breakfast – your usual?
Master Frugal: No thanks, can I have toast today please. I’m not eating cereal anymore.
Me: Why? You love cereal!
Master Frugal: I used to but then I found out that it was made of metal and I don’t want to snap my teeth.
Me: What?
Master Frugal: Miss Frugal says the cereal has metal in it – she read it on the box. So we’re not eating it any more.
At this point, Miss Frugal wanders in and catches the end of our conversation.
Miss Frugal: It’s true Mam. Look it’s says it has iron and acid in it!
Master Frugal: See. Told you!
Due to the fact it was 7am and I was still waking up after about four hours sleep, I took the easy way out – I put the cereal away and made them toast.
Will someone please remind me to set them straight in the morning 😉
