Master Frugal got a letter today, a special letter that came in a homemade envelope and was hand delivered to his desk at afternoon playtime. He was the only one to get one of these letters and I can imagine the big smile on his face as he opened the letter….
….I couldn’t help but laugh when he showed me the letter – it was from his now ex-girlfriend, who decided that she didn’t want to be his girlfriend anymore ;-( On School Disco day as well, poor little thing.
He’s not the only one with relationship problems though – the boy that Miss Frugal is mad about has told her that he does like her but he couldn’t possibly have a girlfriend with freckles! I’ve told her that her freckles are just one of the things that make her so beautiful and if he doesn’t like them then that’s his loss. She got all dressed up for her disco and went off to show him just how gorgeous she was.
I did think I’d have a few more years before I had to deal with these sort of traumas but apparently not!

OH No, your poor DD! My sister has freckles and is completely paranoid about them, when she was at school, some child told her that it looked like a bird had pooed on her 🙁 I hope your DD can continue to be as confident as she sounds because you are right, she IS beautiful.

Oh how harsh! I hope they both have a fabulous time at their disco and show the ex girlfriend and ex boyfriend how much they are missing out! These freckles are absolutely gorgeous!
