I hope you’re all having as much fun this half term as we are!
We’re trying to cram in as much as possible before I go back to work on Friday so we’ve been quite busy so far this week. We’re almost half way through the week now though so I’m getting ready to hear those dreaded words….
Mam, I’m Bored.
It’s almost inevitable that someone is going to say them in the next day or two so I have my bored jar at the ready and I’m also armed with lots of ideas for things for us to do that aren’t going to break the bank.
Here’s my top ten ideas for free activities that you can do together this half term:

Have a pyjama day and do nothing all day except watch films and play board games together.

Grab a pencil and some paper and go find a quiet spot to do some drawing.

Go for a bike or scooter ride together!

Lots of car boot sales are starting up again now it’s not so cold – have a sort out and go along and make some money.

Go to the park – climb a tree, play hide and seek, feed the ducks and have fun!

Get all your crafting things out and just let them be – mine made bedroom keep out signs and bookmarks last time we did this.

Go to the library – choose some books and read together.

Have a film afternoon with popcorn and your favourite movies.

Go find somewhere new to explore – there must be somewhere close by that you’ve never been before!

Make homemade bubbles using washing up liquid and water. Use pipe-cleaners for the blowers and learn that you’re never too old for bubbles!
There you go, that should keep you busy for a couple of days. 😉

We did lots of these this week but I love the idea of Just Dance on Youtube, the kids will love that. Thanks, Mich x
Brilliant ideas – we love holidays like this!
There are some fab ideas here! We've just started watching YouTube on the telly, we like music videos!
Such great ideas for keeping the children occupied this half term, we love to visit our local library for books plus they usually have some activities on for the children.
Great ideas mine are spending time each day playing on the wii together nicely!
Great tips! Mine are easily entertained these days as they are still quite little but soon enough they will not be 🙁
Well done on 5th position in the TOTS!! I spotted this post on Pinterest first and have already pinned it as it is superb. I must find out more about watching YouTube via the TV as my girls would LOVE it.
I love the sound of the movie night. I haven't had one for ages but when my sister and I were little, we'd always watch Disney movies together and those evenings are some of my happiest memories x
Great ideas. I love the Just Dance one for You Tube. I hadn't thought of trying that!
Thank you xx
