Today is the last day of my two weeks off and I am strangely looking forward to work tomorrow, I always feel like this at the end of some time off because I like to get back in to our normal routine. I’ve decided to start Slimming World tomorrow and I’ve seen that a few bloggers are joining in NotSupermum‘s Big Momma Challenge so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and join in aswell.
I’ve got a fair bit to lose so I am going to take it slowly and not set myself any huge targets.
Sunday – Mince and Dumplings with Roast Potatoes, carrots, peas and brocolli. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to go to the classes again as a fiver a week works out a bit expensive, I think I’ll just try it myself for a few weeks and see how I go.
Here’s my Slimming World meal plan for this week:
Monday – Kids: Homemade macaroni cheese with brocolli. Grown Ups: Home made chicken fried rice.
Tuesday – Tuna pasta bake
Wednesday – Out for tea
Thursday – Home made spaghetti bolognaise (lots of veggies)
Friday – Grown ups: Home made chicken kebabs with home made potato wedges. Kids: Burgers in buns with home made potato wedges and corn on the cob.
I’ve got lots of fruit and veg and muller lights to keep me going aswell.
Wish me luck

Thank you for the nice blog, even though it did take quite a large time to finish reading. (English is not my mother tongue) May I ask where you got your information from? Thank you! Norman
How do you go cooking for the adults and kids separately. super women
lol that's me!
Its out of necessity more than anything – my five year old is the worlds fussiest eater
Oh fantastic! So glad you've joined it, I saw your comment earlier and was going to email you to see if you would still update us weekly. I'm just about to do my weekly update and there'll be a linky to add your update to during the week. Good luck!
Thanks very much
It's a fab idea and could be just what I need to stay motivated!
Don't forget to add your linky!
My Weigh day is Sunday so I'll be there – hopefully with good news!
Good luck! I joined the Big Momma Challenge after I'd already been slimming for a few weeks (I'm just starting week ten with Weight Watchers online) and slow and easy is the only way to go. I've lost 19.5 pounds so that's just about the recommended 2 pounds per week. Certainly wish it could be 5 pounds per week but that's not healthy. I drink lots of water, walk (on the treadmill because it's still TOO hot outside) for 30 minutes every day, and don't eat anything after 7:30pm. With two youngsters, you should get a pedometer – I'm sure you'll walk the equivalent of 30 minutes just running around with them!
I might get myself a pedometer actually – I lke things that you can track so I would be motivatedto see how much I was walking.
You are doing so well and I agree – slow and steady wins the race
I hope I manage that – got lots to lose!
The boys are so looking forward to Wedensday – Sausage cas for dinner
Mine are looking forward to it as well…. yum yum x
