You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it’s from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online and so I love to do a monthly post dedicated to sharing some of my bargains with you!
I’ve got some fab bargains to share this month. 😁
First up, a couple of lovely finds from an antique shop we came across a couple of weeks ago. It was down an alleyway, in a cute little village and was genuinely the prettiest little shop. The lady who owned the shop was even lovelier than the shop and we had a lovely time wandering around her shop and chatting with her about the various things that caught our eye.
I found this cute little ring on one of the old sideboards in the shop…
It clearly needs a good old clean, made more apparent by the photo that enlarges the ring so you can see the dirt even more clearly than you can when it’s at its real life size!
I know it’s not worth anything and I know I need to give it a scrub but there’s something about it that I love and for the £2 that it cost us, I think it’s a great bargain.
I just have to get it cleaned up now – have you seen the reels on Facebook for that Cleanpod (I think that’s what it’s called) where someone puts a piece of jewellery in to some liquid, leaves it in there for a bit and then an almost unrecognisable piece of sparkle comes out at the end. I’m not actually convinced that it’s even a genuine product but probably more importantly, I’m not convinced I want to spend however much it costs to buy something just to clean my £2 ring so I guess we’ll go for more old fashioned way of cleaning it with warm soapy water.
I also found this…
I’m not really a bracelet wearer if I’m honest but I did love this when I spotted it sparking away and it was another £2 bargain so I couldn’t just leave it there. The lady in the shop told us that they’d come into her possession with a few other more expensive pieces and she wanted them to have a good home so she had priced them super low.
I think she was being nice and don’t think they’re worth much more than I paid for them but I am pleased that they’re mine now so all is good.
This next one is a dress I bought from Vinted that I loved on the photos shared but in real life it was much greener and I wasn’t keen at all. It was back on Vinted within the hour and sold the next day for 20p less than I paid for it so I can handle that kind of loss.
I thought it would be perfect for my few days away with the kids in the South of France recently but it wasn’t to be. This one, however, was another Vinted bargain for £3.00.
It’s nothing special but is super comfortable and looks nice on so I’m really pleased with it!
Now I can’t decide if this next bargain make me look old – the gold colour reminds me of the kind of sandals that my Mam loved to wear so I feel like her when I wear them but if I can get over that, they’re actually a really nice pair of shoes that are brand new and only cost £1 from the car boot sale last weekend.
They’re new and still have the stickers intact on the soles so I can see they’ve never been worn. The lady who was selling them had about ten other pairs of what looked like brand new shoes in my size all at a pound a pair but these were the only ones that were flat. I am so over wearing heels and would much rather be comfortable than stylish.
And that’s pretty much it for this month’s pre-loved bargains from me!
If you want to find out more about how I find bargains on Vinted then this how to buy on Vinted post is perfect for you – it’s the perfect place to start if you want to start finding some pre-loved bargains of your own.
Also, I know that money is tight for many of us right now so I did just want to say that usually when I buy anything pre-loved, I try and only use money that I’ve made from things that I’ve sold on Vinted so I rarely pay actual money for anything you see that I’ve bought from there. Here’s a post about how much I made in a weekend selling on Vinted a little while ago to give you an idea!
So that’s what I’ve bought pre-loved this month. I’d love to see your bargains so feel free to tag me in any Instagram posts and I’ll pop over and see what you’ve been buying!
