Remember when I told you that Xbox gave you free games every single month if you have an Xbox one or an Xbox 360?
Well I’ve found another way although this does cost you a few pounds each month – it’s called EA access!
We first found out about EA access when Master Frugal was desperate to get his hands on Fifa 16 before it was released and someone told us that if you had an EA access subscription then you could download a trial version and play 10 hours of game play a week before the game itself was released. We found a code so you could get the first month for £1.79 which didn’t seem bad for 10 hours of a game he was dying to play and you can cancel anytime so we went for it.
We weren’t planning to keep the subscription going at that point to be honest but then we found all of the games that you can download and play as part of the subscription….

Mr Frugal was about to buy Battlefield Hardline which was around the same price as the year’s subscription so we went for that instead and he downloaded that and a good few of the other games too! It’s constantly being updated as well and once you’ve downloaded it then it’s yours to play for as long as you have the EA Access subscription.
You also get 10% off digital download purchases but we’ve always found it cheaper to look around for a better deal – especially with our one in one out policy (a game goes back to be traded for a new game which makes it cheaper and means we don’t have a million games at home).
EA Access costs £3.99 a month or just £19.99 a year which is great value for money when you consider what you get and if you’re lucky you might even get it a bit cheaper if you look around for a code – just search EA access code.

I get Xbox Live gold and EA Access or just one of them? My son is just desperate for minecraft at the moment so don't need lots of games or the latest. I usually wait until the the games site go on sales before I buy them. However I know as the kids get older, I will not be able to fob them off.
You are very good at finding the right deals, Cass, we do not have an xBox as Emma has never shown any interest but I am sure this post will make many parents of boys happy.xx
Thanks for sharing the beautiful information with us. I've download many games as according to your tips.
Thanks for the post!

This is such a handy tip. My son doesn't have an xbox yet, but it's only a matter of time, so I'll bear this in mind!
WOW! now this is a post I need to remember. My kids (and hubby) would love to get more games for the Xbox (and I'd like to not pay a fortune for them!) Thank you
I shall go and tell my other half about this straight away I am sure he will be interested.
I just asked hubby if he knew about this and he is already subscribed lol
Defiantly going to look into this for my son . Thankyou
I wonder if this works in France? We have an xbox but I've never heard of this. I'll look into it.
We don't have an Xbox, but am very impressed by this and shall be sharing the info with the friends who have! Excellent tip 🙂
