When I was younger, all I wanted was to have curly hair and with the magic of my Mam’s friend who did home perms, I got the curly hair I was so desperate for. Looking back, it doesn’t look as cool as I thought it did at the time:

Now fast forward 25 years and Miss Frugal is also a big fan of curly hair although not so much a home perm fan after seeing the photo of my disaster! Not that I’d let her have one anyway – there are much simpler ways to get curly hair these days!
She often sleeps with plaits in her hair when she’s washed it on a night which gives her wavy hair when she wakes up in the morning – she’s learned that the chunkier the plait, the bigger the wave she’ll get in the morning. But sleeping with plaits in your hair isn’t very comfortable if I recall correctly from my between- perm stages.
So, in her quest for curly hair without the headache she’s discovered (by way of YouTube) a new way to get curly hair which is super quick, super easy and doesn’t require any special skills – all you need are bobbles and a pair of hair straighteners.

- Make sure your hair is completely dry, brushed and tangle free.
- Plait your hair, remembering that the smaller the plait, the better the results will be.
- Spray a little heat protection spray on each plait and starting at the bottom, work your way up the plait in sections making sure that each section is held between the straighteners plates for 5-10 seconds.
- Leave for a few seconds and then take out the plait – you have curly hair!

Most normal enthusiasm for hair is centered around hair development, hair sorts and hair care, however hair is likewise a vital biomaterial fundamentally made out of protein, prominently keratin.
Shower a little warmth insurance splash on every plait and beginning at the base, work you're far up the plait in segments verifying that every segment is held between the straighteners plates for some seconds.

I like this – I wonder if doing this would actually calm down my little girls hair as it is so curly. Miss F has beautiful hair – I would love to have that colour too!
Some great tips, I haven't plaited my hair in years, so I might give it a go x
Great tips! I've always plaited my hair for some curls, now it's shorter though, I can't do that! I too had that curly perm in my teens – what was I thinking!! x
