The only soup (particularly vegetable soup) is "second hand soup", when you have some left over and eat it the next day, and it tastes so much better.
So ideally, make it the day before you need it, but then you have to resist eating it that day. Even thought it's not second hand, it's still better than no soup.
It's not easy is it!

It costs less to run than a normal cooker, I find that cheaper cuts of meat commute really well to being slow cooked and I often bulk-cook so that we have meals for later dates. We opted for a Crock Pot with a larger volume, so it was by no means the cheapest model available (although we did wait until there was an Amazon sale!) but it's saved us so much in the long run.

I'm going to go with that in future 😀

Frugality to me could be totally different to someone else. I will quite happily spend more on an item for the quality and longevity, buy cheap buy twice so they say.
