My kids have never tried them and long may it stay that way, fizzy pop is bad enough! Mich x

I gave it up before the summer and feel so much better for doing so, less tired, less headaches etc. I don't believe that energy drinks or fizzy pop should be given to those under 16.

I hope you can convince your other half to stop as they can't be doing him any good.

I very occasionally have a vodka and red bull on a rare night out – mostly because I am rubbish at staying up late these days and it gives me a little boost – but thats maybe twice a year!

Jason went through a phase of drinking a lot of Red Bull, thankfully that's over now. But to give them to children is just nonsense. My kids drink water or milk, or a glass of juice if they're having breakfast. Occasionally if we're out for dinner and drinking wine, the kids will be allowed a Lemonade, and because GG now has to drink sugar free, I do let her have the occasional diet coke as a treat, as most restaurants don't have diet lemonade.

It's taken over three years to finally get him to see that it was damaging to his health. The amount of sugar in these drinks is shocking and to think that teenagers are taking these into schools to stay awake, doesn't bare thinking about. I'm with you on this one, 100%.

I have never seen the point of them, they are such a waste of money and all that sugar too! I may let my kids have the very occasional fizzy drink but these things are a big no no

I actually feel less tired. I can't stomach caffeinated tea or coffee now, it makes me feel sick. The thought even of a can of cola makes me feel queasy.

When you're tired it's true you crave sugar which is part of why it might have started. it will be damaging his teeth though.
