I prefer mine standing straight but that could be the slight OCD tendencies I think I have lol

And cut a couple of cm off the end of the stalks then bash them with something (rolling pin?) to mash them up a bit (the ends of the stalks again!).

I heard that you should get a pin and pierce the stem at the top just below the tulip head – push the pin right through the steam, remove and do the same to all the stems. Apparently this stops the tulip head getting to top heavy. Hope it works. Sue x
