A couple of years ago someone bought me an a very expensive looking Jo Malone candle in my favourite scent and I loved it. I actually loved it that much that I didn't open it as I didn't want to 'waste' it. ;-)The candle sat, still in it's wrapper in my little ensuite bathroom where I eventually kind of just forgot it was there because it was like part of the furniture in there. 1) We're still saving to replace our living room, hall, stairs and landing carpet which was the first thing I wanted to tick off my house to do list this year but when I popped into TKMaxx last weekend with Miss Frugal I found some lovely Orla Kiely bathroom accessories which were so much cheaper than the ones I've been drooling over online. Some much needed fun at the beach….
I can't believe it's Christmas next week!I haven't been feeling particularly festive if I'm honest but I think that's because, since my operation in October, we haven't really done very much outside of the house together. Even our annual Christmas days out have been either cancelled or the kids have gone with our friends instead of us which has made me sad because I love the things we do at this time of year more than any other.I'm planning on going back to work in a couple of weeks because I feel like life's been on hold for most of this year and it frustrates me.
