Is this time of year the best time to buy a pre-loved tent? I think it is - especially as I just got a great deal on a tent myself on Facebook Marketplace.Next year's holiday is highly unlikely to be a trip abroad for us so after the success of this Summer's camping trip, I thought investing in a bigger tent might be worthwhile. The problem is that tents are actually super expensive and after several trips to Go Outdoors to get an idea of the kind of tent that would work for us, I realised that although camping would mean we could have a really good value getaway next Summer, … [Read more...]

My £23 Charity Shop Haul…. #Preloved
You all know that I love a good pre-loved bargain and I usually round up all the bargains I manage to pick up in one monthly post but I haven't had much chance to go visit my favourite shops lately so I did a bumper visit to all my favourite ones this morning. I was absolutely over the moon with the clothes I managed to buy today.I went shopping with a purpose which was to get some clothes that would be suitable for the colder weather and really wanted some tops and warmer dresses so when you see what I got, you'll get why I was so pleased! My favourite buy of the day … [Read more...]
My Pre-Loved Handbag Collection….
My name's Cass and I love handbags. 😂.I prefer vintage and pre-loved handbags for a couple of reasons so today I'm going to tell you why and share my pre-loved handbag collection with you. First up, why do I like to buy pre-loved handbags?Originally, I started to buy pre-loved handbags because that was the only way I could afford to pay for some of the bags I had my eye on and that's probably still my main motivation when I really think about it but I do also like the fact that the bags have a story behind them - even if I don't know what it is myself. I … [Read more...]
Wednesday’s Wardrobe – When bargain hunting goes wrong….
Welcome to this week's Wednesday's Wardrobe! In case you don't know, Wednesday’s Wardrobe is a weekly linky that I'll be co-hosting along with two fantastic bloggers, Emma and Sarah.I broke one of my own rules this weekend - I bought some clothes for Miss Frugal without consulting her first. ;-)In my defence, we were at the car boot sale and the lady on the stall we were looking at decided that she was going to reduce everything to 20p. When she started shouting that everything was reduced to 20p I looked at the rail of clothes I was sorting through filled with clothes from shops … [Read more...]
Secret Santa on a budget – 10 presents for under a fiver….
I love a good Secret Santa with my friends at work but we generally opt for a lower budget because, let's face it, Christmas is expensive enough as it is.We've had a year where we set the budget at £1 per person with the idea being that you had to get the most creative gift that you could for that amount. We got all sorts of gifts from candles to cactus plants dressed up as Santa and it was much more fun than opening the inevitable chocolates, biscuits and alcohol that we would have no doubt seen if we'd had a higher budget. This year, we're going for a slightly higher budget of £5.00 … [Read more...]
Magpie Monday – More Bargains….
The first bargain I want to share this week is the outfit I bought for Miss Frugal's first grown up disco the week before last. She was so excited about this disco as it's the first one since she went up to the Juniors and even though she'd been talking about it for weeks beforehand, it wasn't until the night before that she decided that she wanted a new outfit to wear.I told her she didn't need new clothes as she had plenty in her wardrobe and marched her upstairs to prove my point but her bedroom looked like a jumble sale - she'd already tried almost everything in her wardrobe … [Read more...]
