I panicked a few of you in yesterday's five frugal things post with my mention of Christmas so I thought I'd share a few of my favourite ways to make extra money over the next few days starting with this post today all about the best paid survey sites online. Hands up if you could do with a little help saving for a big event or celebration? Of if you'd like a chance to use some of your spare time making a little extra month? 🙋♀️ Me too, which is why I'm a fan of survey sites. I'll be honest, you're never going to make a fortune from … [Read more...]

Homemade Febreze for under 20p a bottle….
I've been making homemade Febreze for years now and often share in my weekly Five Frugal Things posts when I've made up a new batch but today, I'm going to update and reshare the original post when I told you about it for a couple of reasons. Let me tell you why...The first reason is simply that I treated myself to a new spray bottle as the one I used to use was looking more than a bit grubby and I just wanted to show off the prettiness of it although it's shiny white with shiny rose gold lettering on it so definitely doesn't photo as well as I wanted it to. 😂. And … [Read more...]
Kitchen Cabinet Painting – Before and After….
Today's post is all about my kitchen cabinet painting adventures over the weekend! Our house wasn't even built when we bought it so we were lucky enough to be able to choose the layout of our kitchen and also choose from a (limited) range of doors, handles and worktops. I say limited because our budget meant that we didn't really want to be paying extra for the premium range so we stuck to the basic range which meant that we wouldn't need to pay any extra. There was still enough in the basic range for me to choose something I loved though and after much deliberation (and … [Read more...]
What is the Honey Browser extension? And does it save you money?
Have you heard of the Honey Browser Extension before? Well today, I'm going to tell you all about it and how it's going to save you money when you shop online. I was laid in bed one Sunday morning a few weekends ago with my Macbook having a look for some new clothes suitable for this time of year and Miss Frugal came and sat next to me under the pretence of helping me but I suspect … [Read more...]
Super cheap bathroom makeover…
If you follow my Five Frugal Things posts each week then you've probably seen some of the things I did for my super cheap bathroom makeover a couple of weeks ago but I thought I'd bring them all together in one post today! So, first up, I wasn't planning on a post so I don't actually have any before pictures but it was very much a blah room - nothing really wrong with it but nothing really right either and it was looking very dated as it's the only room in the house that's never had any attention other than a new floor. It's been top of my list for a makeover for so long but … [Read more...]
My favourite online Charity shops….
I do love a good rummage around a charity shop and have only recently discovered that lots of my favourite ones actually have online charity shops so today, I'm sharing some of my favourites with you. You'll know how much I love my pre-loved bargains if you regularly read this blog as I often share a bargain in my weekly five frugal things posts and more recently, there's my monthly pre-loved bargain series. With everything that's been going on in the world, I've missed my regular rummages through the charity shops near me so you can imagine how excites I was when I discovered … [Read more...]
