Here we are, just two weeks left until school starts again! I have no idea where the time is going but the last four weeks have just flown by.There have been times (more than I care to admit) in the past where weekday mornings getting ready for school have consisted of tears, a little bit of shouting and the odd phone call from the school to say the kids have forgotten their packed lunches!Lots of things make for a stressful morning, some of which can't really be planned for - like the child who wakes up in a foul mood for no reason at all, the sudden poorly tummy that has more to do … [Read more...]

Review: Cayton Bay Holiday Park….
A few weeks ago we were asked if we wanted to have a lovely weekend away with Park Resorts. It sounded like a great idea to have a cheeky weekend away before the madness of the last few weeks of term hit us so we said yes, chose the lovely sounding Cayton Bay Holiday Resort in North Yorkshire and set off on our travels one rainy Friday at the start of July. We're not usually bothered by the weather so the rain didn't really worry us - we just packed wellies and rain coats along with the scooters and the Summer Bag.Before I start, I don't have as many photos as I would usually have to … [Read more...]
Summer Living Room Makeover….
We've been having a bit of a Summer makeover this weekend, updating the Living room with a few little bits and bobs to brighten it up for Summer and I'm really pleased with the results so I thought you might like to see them.I like to keep the decor itself quite neutral usually which allows me to change things around without a big redecorating project and without spending a lot. I'm actually reading a trashy romance book on my Kindle. They're my guilty secret and l love escaping into a good romance.Listening to: Actually right now I'm listening to that bloody Minecraft tune! Even when it's not on I … [Read more...]

This week’s meal plan (with a difference)….
A little while ago I started to share my meal plans over on my meal planning blog - Meal Planning Made Easy but it felt a bit boring just writing our my meal plan on a Monday as a list so last week I decided I was going to do things a different way. So for the last week or so, I've been posting a picture of our tea along with a recipe or some pointers on how to make your own version!I'm going to keep doing that this week but I wanted to post on here to tell you about it in advance because this week's meals have a bit of a theme going on - they're all going to be made using the 'by … [Read more...]
