I know that January is a bad month for lots of people following an often earlier than normal payday in December and the cost of Christmas and everything associated with it but I don't think I realised just how bad it can be for so many people until I read some research from the Money Advice Service.According to their findings, more than one in four people will struggle with money this month as the expense of Christmas takes its toll. The same research shows that one in three people in the said that they felt pressure to spend more than they could afford over the past Christmas period … [Read more...]

5 Absolutely Free Beautiful Christmas Colouring Pages….
When I saw a colouring book for grown ups in my local supermarket I must admit that I wasn't convinced that colouring in was going to relax me but I decided to give it a go anyway and downloaded some free Christmas colouring pages from t'internet,I got out a selection of colouring pencils and sat down at the table ready to be relaxed and soothed as I coloured in the weird leafy pattern and flowers from the picture I'd printed out.Did it relax me?No, because I like things to look pretty so I was too busy thinking about what colour matched what colour to actually relax.Something … [Read more...]
10 clever ways to save money as a pet owner….
I can't remember what out house was like before we got our dog but I can tell you that our beautiful Bichon Frise Buddy has completed our family perfectly and we can't imagine not having him now. He's quite a high maintenance little pooch if I'm honest but we knew that before we got him because we researched the best breed for our family extensively. I'm going to talk about both things today but I'm deliberately not going to link to any medical pages or give you an explanation of the ins and outs of both conditions as I'm not an expert and I just want you to know the effect that they can have on a family living with vertigo especially. The reason I'm writing this post is because he's currently laid upstairs in bed instead of doing what he'd planned to do this afternoon. I just called to cancel his plans and the guy I … [Read more...]

Hoovering has always been one of my most hated jobs around the house!I hate setting it up and pulling the silly wire out, I hate the actual hoovering and then finally I hate the putting it away part. And because of all this, I wasn't overly excited when the lovely guys at Vax asked me if I wanted to review one of their new range of hoovers. Our last (much hated) hoover seemed to be on it's last legs though so I gratefully accepted their offer and waited for my new hoover to arrive with very little enthusiasm. The day it arrived, I left it in the box for my husband to build and … [Read more...]
