There’s not many of us who haven’t wished for more hours in the day at one point or another but today I want to share a few simple ways to manage your time better so you won’t need any extra time to get everything done…..Create a to do list! Honestly this is the best thing you can do if you’re looking to improve your time management skills. I have a lovely A5 leather bound notebook that I treated myself to when I was planning to start bullet journaling but it actually just morphed into a to do list book. I probably write a to do list most days in some form as I always start my working … [Read more...]

A week’s worth of Slimming World friendly packed lunches….
We're off on holiday in a couple of weeks so I'm focusing on two things - saving money and losing weight! To help me with both of these, I've been taking Slimming World friendly packed lunches to work and because I'm so please with myself for avoiding soggy sandwiches all week I thought I'd share my week's worth of Slimming World friendly packed lunches. Day 1 - Lime and Chilli cous cous with spinach, chicken and sun dried tomatoes (2 syns for the sun dried tomatoes)I don't measure when I make cous cous, I just add how much I want to a bowl, add the flavour and pour enough boiling … [Read more...]
What we’re eating this week {08 May 2017}….
Last week was the first week in ages that I shared my meal plan with you on this blog instead of hiding it away on my meal planning blog.I shared it here for a couple of reasons - the first one is because I'm a little embarrassed by how neglected my poor little meal planning blog is at the moment but the main reason is because this month I wanted to have a BIG focus on our meal planning.I almost always write a meal plan for the week but lately I haven't been spending as much time on it as I used to so meal planning of late has consisted of me hurriedly scribbling five meals down on a … [Read more...]
Do Fidget Spinners and Fidget Cubes really work?
Fidget spinners and fidget cubes are the new craze that's sweeping through the nation (or at least through our little seaside town anyway) and I must admit that they're a craze I actually like. What's a fidget spinner? In case you don't know what a fidget spinner is, it's a little plastic toy that's shaped a bit like a propeller which you hold in the centre between your finger and thumb. You start it spinning and the trick is to keep it spinning for as long as you can! They're bright and colourful and are small enough that they fit in your pocket so Master Frugal, who is fidget spinner … [Read more...]
The cheapest way I found to use my phone abroad….
Remember me telling you that I'd switched our phones to a pay as you go plan which was so much cheaper than we were previously paying? Did I also tell you that even though we got so much more data than we had before for less money, the 8GB of data we get can only be used in the UK? If we want to use our phone abroad then we can have 500GB a day for something like £5.00.That doesn't seem like a huge amount of data when you consider that I use Facetime to keep in touch with home and do plenty of Instagramming and Googling for directions and things nearby to do and see. Anything over the … [Read more...]
Homemade Pizza for just 50p per portion!
I'm trying to be more aware of the costs of our meals lately so I can share my cheapest meals with you in a series of posts and the first thing I thought of was homemade pizza.I work this out to be around 50p a portion for a plan pizza and that's based on one batch of dough making two pizzas. We serve ours with sweet potato fries but you could just serve it with whatever you have in - salad, veggies, normal potatoes or even just on it's own depending how hungry your family can get.For the homemade pizza base (makes 2 small or one large pizza):500g strong white bread flour … [Read more...]
