At least once a month, I talk about Swagbucks in one way or another because I'm such a huge fan personally. It's a site that I've always done really well with so I do talk about it quite often but I realised that I've never actually posted about it on its own. So... here's how to make money with Swagbucks!I originally signed up to Swagbucks as part of some kind of Blogger challenge way back in the day when five or six of us all competed to try and get the most Swagbucks with the winner getting a prize of some extra Swagbucks (I think). (Swagbucks are the name of the points that you earn on … [Read more...]

British Gas HomeCare Cover – my experience….
British Gas HomeCare has saved me from potential frostbite twice now so I thought I'd tell you a little bit about why I love them but.... Before I start, I am NOT working with British Gas at all on this post (although I have just added in my refer a friend link just in case you do decide to sign up with them). 😇I pay for my British Gas HomeCare cover myself and have done now for a good few years - in fact, I first wrote about them in 2015 when they saved Christmas for us after we woke up on Christmas morning to find we had no heating. They saved me again a couple … [Read more...]

In the middle of all of the happy Christmas kind of posts though, there have been a few that have focused on the affordability of Christmas which I absolutely get. It's been a tough couple of years and with the ever-rising cost of living then it's not going to … [Read more...]

I'm resharing this post a couple of years after it was first published as I made a batch of applesauce over the weekend with some apples that a lovely friend brought round when she popped in for a cuppa - this time I added some of my lovely apple pie spice mix too and I've saved some to make a batch of Autumn Crumble tarts so I can share some with the friend who gave me the apples. One of my best bargains from the Festival of Thrift this weekend was the big bag of free windfall apples. I was planning to make an apple pie with them but I thought I'd make a batch of homemade applesauce … [Read more...]
