Saturday is Caption Day – the blurry version….

Master Frugal has discovered a love of all things scooter-y this Summer.  His new favourite place in the world is the local indoor skate park where we’ve been going once a week for the last month or so.

He loves it that much that we bought him a new scooter and helmet, because only certain ones are cool you know (really it’s because we thought he needed new ones to cope with the ramps and jumps at the skate park bit he thinks it’s to do with being cool).

I can’t believe how expensive scooters are these days, especially the so called stunt scooters that are all the rage!  You buy a scooter for ridiculous money(£70+) and then customise it to the point that it’s no where near like the scooter you originally bought.

You can buy new handlebars, new wheels, new grips, new brakes, new everything….  In fact by the time you’re finished customising it, the scooter will barely resemble the original one you bought and will have cost a small fortune.

We managed to find one of these expensive scooters at the local car boot sale that someone had started customising and then lost interest in it.  They were asking £35 for it but we managed to get it for £25 which I was really pleased with considering the make and the extra parts that had been added to it.  Master Frugal is over the moon with it and has played on it constantly since we got it.

I did follow him round the skate park like a typical embarrassing mother camera obsessed blogger the other day to try and get a photo of him but all the photos came out blurry as he didn’t stop moving for the whole two hours, this is the best one I got before he shooed me back to the cafe in case anyone saw me taking photos of him and thought he was a baby!
