I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it's from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online so I thought I'd start a bit of a monthly round-up of some of the pre-loved bargains that I buy each month. Here's this month's little round-up.(Also, I should say that I bought this little lot just before lockdown kicked in)What could be more perfect for this time of year than this super fluffy, super warm hooded jacket? It was £7.99 which I'm really pleased with considering the quality of it - honestly, it's super soft and so comfortable and the picture doesn't do it … [Read more...]

This month’s pre-loved bargains {October 2020}….
I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it's from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online so I thought I'd start a bit of a monthly round-up of some of the pre-loved bargains that I buy each month. Here's this month's little round-up.Ok, this is a controversial one!The first thing I bought this month arrived just after last month's post so it just missed being included in the September pre-loved bargains round-up - it's a beautiful Burberry scarf! This is something I've wanted to buy for myself for years but have never been able to stomach the … [Read more...]
This month’s pre-loved bargains {September 2020}….
I love a good pre-loved bargain, whether it's from a charity shop, the car boot sale or even from somewhere online so I thought I'd start a bit of a monthly round-up of some of the pre-loved bargains that I buy each month. Here's September's selection. There's nothing I like more than a good rummage through the local charity shops but until this last couple of weeks, I haven't stepped foot inside of one since the start of March. I had a week off work this month though so I decided to have a cheeky little morning wandering around town (not my town, a little one near me has MUCH better … [Read more...]
Ten homemade Christmas hamper present ideas….
Today I'm sharing ten Christmas hamper present ideas with you so if you have any presents left to buy make sure you read on!This is an old post that I'm resharing as someone messaged me this week to ask for some Christmas hamper present ideas and as I started to reply with some ideas, I remembered about this post! For the last few years, I've made a bit of a beauty/pamper hamper for Miss Frugal instead of a Christmas Eve box and this year's hamper is the best one yet. I can't show you exactly what's in it but if I remember, I'll try and take a photo once she's opened it but … [Read more...]
How to organise a funeral and why I’m buying a pre-paid funeral plan….
This is a bit of a depressing post today but one that I personally could have done with reading when I had to organise my Dad's funeral recently. I searched for 'how to organise a funeral' but all of the things that came up first were funeral directors selling their services which is all good but didn't help me at the time so I thought I'd share my experience. So, last month I had to arrange my Dad's funeral - something he'd tried to talk to me about in the past but stupidly I always said to him that we had plenty of time to talk about things like that so we never really discussed it … [Read more...]
Perfect Presents for Dads….
I just realised that I wrote a gift guide for tween and teen girls (based on Miss Frugal) and one for boys aged 9 ish (based on Master Frugal) but I haven't done anything for Dads.Dads are the hardest people to buy for if you ask me - my Dad gets a bottle of port and a big slab of blue stilton every year without fail as that's all he wants and as boring as it may be, at least I know he'll enjoy it.Mr Frugal isn't as easy to buy for though - he doesn't like experience days or things like that, he's not big on clothes (unless it's a football shirt), he likes his music but usually buys … [Read more...]
