I haven't really had time to be frugal or otherwise this week as it's been another chaotic week for one reason or another but I'll try and see if I can think of five things.... Five frugal things I've done this week: 1. I've spent half an hour this morning driving round town - stopping at the leisure centre, the museum and the youth centre to get their Summer Holiday leaflets. Tonight I'm going to sit and make a plan of action for the next week as I have a lovely week off to spend with the kids.2. Speaking of activities, one thing on our list was ice skating and this notification … [Read more...]

My Week {12th July 2015}….
This last week has been the busiest week I can remember in a long time! Here's the highlights.... Tuesday Master Frugal's school had an open afternoon on Tuesday where parents were invited to go in and spend some time with the children at school. We sat together and looked through his workbooks and he proudly told me his levels which are amazing but I hate that children are told their levels in front of their classmates. They shouldn't feel like they're doing worse/better than others at such a young age in my opinion.I went straight from the open afternoon to Miss Frugal's end of … [Read more...]
Five Frugal things I’ve done this week to save money {10th July 2015}….
Five frugal things I've done this week: 1. We went to the car boot sale last weekend to try and find some tennis rackets for the kids to play Tennis with over the Summer. I usually buy some from the pound shop but as they're a bit older this year, I thought spending a bit more would be beneficial so we headed off to the boot sale. We managed to buy two great Wilson rackets for £1 each which was a great bargain - one of them is a Venus and Serena Williams edition which is £20+ online to buy. We also bought some badminton rackets from a couple of different stall holders and ended up paying … [Read more...]

Last year was a bit different for us though as we tried to have a bit of a lazy Summer which meant that, although we … [Read more...]
