Tomorrow's the day that I'm going into hospital for my operation - it's nothing huge and nothing too dramatic but I'm probably not going to feel much like cooking for the next few days. I've had lots of offers of help from some very lovely people but I think that my batch cooking has paid off as I've just written my meal plan and it's mostly made up of things in the freezer that just need defrosting and re-heating!I know I haven't shared my meal plans on here for a while but today seems like a good one to share with you....Monday - This week's only faffy tea is Chicken Souvlaki kebabs … [Read more...]

I'm not sure what came over me - I went in to the kitchen to make a cuppa, noticed how messy the cutlery drawer was and it just spiralled out of control from there.... I found all sorts of weird and wonderful things, including cider vinegar that I have no recollection of buying, vanilla sugar that I forgot I had and lots of herbs and spices that I have no clue what to do with. One thing I did find that I was quite pleased with was a small amount of pudding rice so I thought that I would cook the kids some homemade rice pudding for after … [Read more...]
