Last week we spent a lot of time in the car travelling (trust me, I mean a lot!) and one advert that I kept hearing was the advert with Martin Lewis explaining how I could save money by registering for the Cheap Energy Club in time for their upcoming collective switch.
I honestly heard the advert so many times that I could probably recite it word by word to you at this point but it seemed like a good thing to look into when I got home so I wrote a note in my favourite list app, Wunderlist to check it out when I got home.
So now I’m home, I’ve had a look into it and it seems like it could be a good thing which means that it’s something that you all might find useful if you don’t already know about it.
Here’s the blurb from the MSE website:
Not really. You just need to sign up here and share some details of your bill and when the best offers have been decided on, you’ll be emailed to tell you about it and presumably give you an idea of how much you can save.
It’s all new to me and I would normally wait until I’d tried something personally before I shared it with you but this is quite time sensitive so I thought I’d tell you about it now so you can give it a go if you think it will help you.
I’m all registered and I’m surprised to see that there are deals on the market right now that could save me a fair amount each month – last time I checked the savings were so minimal that it wasn’t worth the hassle of switching. Just look at this:
I’m not going to change just yet though as I’ll wait and see what happens with this Big Switch event before making a decision but I’ll definitely be changing providers if this is what I can save.
I’m really impressed with the checker on the MSE site and it clearly brings up more deals than I’ve found in the past with comparison websites – some of the deals even offer cash back on top of the savings you can make.
If you want to register for the next Big Switch then you need to do it by the 12th September!
I’d love to hear if you do save some money….
