I followed you years ago when I first started blogging, I'd been out of the loop for a few years but I'm now blogging again and back to work so I am really enjoying all your posts.

There is no single way to “do money”, or even to approach frugality.

Lots of popular frugal bloggers are in quite privileged situations and they approach frugality as a lifestyle choice. That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to be learned from them, and it doesn’t mean that a blog by someone who’s being thrifty out of dire necessity isn’t as valid. Either one of their situations can change, and you would hope that someone who’s saving like a trooper will one day be able to enjoy the benefits of all that hard work!

Anyway, you should feel free to enjoy your changed circumstances, and I’m sure you will put things across in a way that empathises with people who may have more reduced means.

Anyone who wants to get jealous of the results of your frugal lifestyle is missing the point and setting themselves up to be a troll.

I will be very happy for you to share all that you want to share as I’d love to hear more about your life.

I call it "self induced poverty". Yes, we can afford fancy cars, vacations etc. But we have nice vacations but we do it on the cheap. No top of the shelf trips here and we still have a great time. I like to see my money go as far as it can and thankfully due to us always being frugal we are now in the position we are in. Also, when my husband at 62 lost his job suddenly, we were able to keep our homes with just a bit of a juggle and changing things, we were very fortunate, as I know many of my friends said they would of had to sell their home if it was them. So share what you like it might encourage people to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel if they change their spending ways. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

I love your blog. Like you we have a “good” income which we spend carefully so we can enjoy life without debt. Having money in the bank gives you freedom. Keep on blogging! xx
