I may have lost any hope of winning any Mother of the year awards tonight 😉
I got in from work today and Miss Frugal sat me down, made me a cup of tea and gave me one of the cupcakes she made the night before last. Â They were both playing on Minecraft so I put my feet up and was catching up on my emails when one of my friends rang to see if we wanted to pop round – she offered to make me a cuppa so off we went – electronics in hand to keep the kids quiet while we were having a chat.
Both kids were good as gold and played together quite happily while we had a good chat over a cuppa but when I accepted the offer of another cup of tea at about twenty to seven, Master Frugal didn’t look happy. Â He came over to him and really sweetly asked if we could go home.
I said I wouldn’t be long but he still wanted to go home. Â When I asked him why he wanted to go home, he looked at me with big sad eyes and said:
I’m just a little bit hungry Mam – you forgot to give us tea!
How bad is that?
I think I redeemed myself by making a stop at McDonalds but even so, I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting any good parent awards after this!
(P.S. This *may* not be the first time I have done this)

LOL brilliant! Bless him his face is a classic but you definitely got brownie points for the McDonalds 🙂 Thankfully I have teens so they normally help themselves or can last a little longer without food anyway 🙂
Not feeding the kids will undoubtedly save money I suppose. Though not if you have to make it up to them with Mcdonalds!
Hahaha! his face is priceless.
Awww bless him! McDonalds fixes most things though 🙂
my son would demand macdonalds if i *forgot* to feed him 😀 x
Haha I love his grumpy face!
Ha ha brilliant! Love the fact that you are so honest
Ha ha, you did well to get that late, mine are asking for tea at 430 🙂
Heh heh I bet there wasn't any complaining though!
Ooh yes, been there done that too! Aren't kids great 😉
He really doesn't look happy, I'm sure the McDonalds trip made up for it though
Think we are all guilty of having done this at some point, it was lunch for me the other day, about 2.00 they asked if we were ever going to have lunch poor kids!
Ha ha I did exactly the same! We only went to pick up tent and see the puppy next door but 2 glasses of wine later I’d forgotten that we hadn’t eaten!!
Heheh! I love that. The kids are more organised than you! Brilliant 🙂
haha! aw bless him! he still looks a little bit grumpy! poor lad! x
