Every week I share five frugal things that I’ve done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life.

Hey! 👐
1) We’re on holiday countdown now with just one week left at work before we’re off. 😁
We’ve combined having a good clear out with making a bit of extra money money to spend on holidays so we’ve been selling a few of the things that we don’t want to take with us when we move and we now have a pot of money waiting to be changed into Euros ready for our trip.
This week we’ve sold some car bits and a set of drawers with every pound going into our holiday pot.

We’ve also cashed in our pot of change which we’ve been collecting through the year and added that to the pot too.
It wasn’t as much as the last few years as we don’t use cash very much but it was still an extra £30 to be added to the holiday pot!
2) I’m probably (definitely) getting ahead of myself right now but I’m starting to really be able to see myself in one of the houses that we’ve seen on our house hunting travels. 😁
I know that there is a lot of wall space in this house and I already have a photo wall planned for up the stairs wall. The look I want and can clearly see in my head is that the photo frames will all be different sizes and not be a uniform style although I do plan to spray paint them all black.
So this week, I spotted a couple of very cheap photo frames which I’ve bought in preparation for my display! I spotted them at the car boot sale and paid no more that a pound for each one which makes me happy.
3) I cooked a gammon joint for tea last Saturday which is always a good option for when my partner is on night shift as we have a nice tea before he goes to work and then use some of the leftovers for sandwiches for through the night when he gets hungry.
Sunday brunch after he’d got up from his sleep was a version of my mashed potato pancakes using leftover mash from tea the day before, some added grated cheese and a bit of chopped leftover gammon

I was actually planning to make this so I deliberately made a bit of extra mash the day before.
4) Tea one night this week was a Too Good To Go back from Greggs.
We paid £2.95 and got two sandwiches, two doughnuts and a sausage roll which was more than enough for us both.

We had been planning to go to the shop to do our weekly shop but on the way, we had a search to see what they had on Too Good To Go and this Greggs bag popped up. We thought we’d give it a go and see if we got a good one to avoid a trip to the shop.
5) Have you seen those microfiber beach towels? I’ve seen them selling for up to £32 each and I won’t lie, I’ve been tempted.
They fold up super small and apparently they dry really quickly and I think they’d be perfect for our holidays but at that price, they’re a bit of a luxury buy. I’d rather have the money to spend on the holiday itself!
But I found these today in Home Bargains for £4.99 each…

I’ve had one out of it’s bag and they actually look really good and even more impressive, I managed to fold it back into the bag it came in after I’d tested it out.
Hope you’ve had a good week and saved yourself lots of money!
