Every week I share five frugal things that I’ve done during the previous week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life.
Hey!
1) The clear out continues here. 😁
The latest thing to go is a Kurt Geiger bag that I bought a good few years ago. I don’t think I paid very much for it as I am sure that I bought it pre-loved from a website called Vestiaire which is a site that sells second hand designer goods. A bit like a posh Vinted.

I bought this one as I have its cousin, a red version that says Summer on it but I never really used it so it’s just been sat gathering dust.
I listed it for £35 which I thought was pushing it but I was in no hurry to sell so I thought it was worth a cheeky price and last week, someone offered me £25 which I probably would have accepted but I decided to counter with £30 and they agreed.
I love Vinted for both selling and buying and I definitely recommend giving it a go if you haven’t already signed up. If you do sign up, use my referral link and I’ll be forever grateful. 😁
2) I had to travel for work this week and I made sure that I took my drinks cup so that I always had a drink close by.

I hate not having a drink close by as I can get pretty thirsty occasionally as a diabetic and I feel better knowing that if I do need a drink then there’s one at hand. Having my drinks bottle means I not only have a drink when I need one but also means that I saved an absolute fortune. 😁
Drinks at train stations and on the train cost a fortune so I think I saved about £20 over the course of two days with pretty much no effort at all!
3) We had a delivery from HP this week for our Instant Ink Subscription.
We’ve had our subscription to Instant Ink for years now and I’m a huge fan as it basically provides us with printer cartridges that match our usage rather than us having to pay for expensive cartridges that are often rarely used in our house.

We’re on the 50 pages a month plan which costs us £4.49 but we’ve only just upped from the £1.79 plan as we rarely used it for ages. Between homework, mortgage applications and travel planning we’ve started to use it more and more so I upped our package to the one we’re on now and it’s just the right amount for us at the moment.

4) I went through my Apple subscriptions this week and cancelled a subscription that I’ve been hanging on to for a while because it makes me feel good haha.
It was my subscription to Nutracheck which I use sporadically when I’m feeling meh and need something to help me focus on what I’m eating but I’ve not used it for a while so for £6.99 a month, I think it’s time to go.
I know I can download it again if I need it so it’s not too much of a dramatic exit.
5) Last Sunday we had a cheeky no-spend day which is something we wouldn’t usually really focus on.
We did a few jobs around the house, went to the local garden centre for a wander and a free drink using our loyalty card and had a picky tea using bits up from the freezer.
After that, we’d planned a movie night but actually couldn’t decide on what film to watch so we ended up catching up on the Great British Bake Off and watching an episode of Forged with Fire.
It was a lovely day made even lovelier by the fact we didn’t spend any money!
Hope you’ve had a successful money saving week too. See you next week.
