I’m so excited that we’re off on holiday next week!
We’re travelling to Milan and unlike New York when it was just Miss Frugal, this trip is for all four of us which is making me look forward to it even more than I looked forward to New York.
I’m just starting to think about packing now and I thought I’d share with you what I’ll be packing in my bag seeing as I shared Miss Frugal’s with you when we went to New York. Here’s what she packed:
My bag is going to be packed with much more grown up items. 😉
First things first, I’ll have the passports, money and travel tickets as well as the other important documentation that we need such as our insurance documents. Here in the UK we got a great deal on an annual policy using a price comparison website but if you’re travel insurance in Australia, the US or the rest of the world then you’ll need to shop around if you don’t have a similar price comparison system. I’ll also be carrying Mr Frugal’s vertigo medication and the usual things like paracetamol and ibuprofen.
I have a new book to read (Fearne Cotton’s Happy) as well as my Kindle if I want to get lost in a slushy holiday romance book and to shut out all the noise while I’m trying to read I’ll have my headphones.
I won’t be taking my travel pillow as we didn’t use the ones we took to New York after the first few minutes because they felt so big and bulky although I will be putting in my suitcase as I have a thing about having lots of pillows and there’s never enough in the hotels we stay at so this came in really handy in New York as an extra pillow on my bed.
Aside from my sunglasses, phone, lip balm and a hairbrush I think that’s pretty much all I’ll be packing in my hand luggage.
It’s much less than I packed when we went to New York but I realised how little I actually used when we travelled and streamlined accordingly.
6 more sleeps!
