I’ve got another post to share today from my Love Your Leftovers series and this one isn’t one that I planned when I first wrote a list of foods that I was going to feature in this series. I got a message a couple of weeks ago asking if I could do Yorkshire Puddings and I admit, my first thought was ‘Why?’ – we never have a leftover Yorkshire Pudding in this house. 😁
But I have been batch cooking my Yorkshires over the last few months so I thought I’d give it a go as I have plenty in the freezer.

As I say, leftover Yorkshire puddings don’t happen often in this house, but when they do, I honestly think they’re one of the most fun leftovers to use up.
Before I shared all the different ways that you can use up your leftover Yorkshire Puddings, I was all set to share my old faithful recipe with you in this post but then I remembered that I did share it many moons ago with you – 10 years ago this month as a matter of fact. So rather than share again, I’m going to just pop a link below to that recipe and if you want to have a look, then go check it out. If you already have your own recipe, then keep using that as it doesn’t matter what recipe you use, it’s all about the leftovers.
Tried and Trusted Yorkshire Pudding Recipe
For a good few years, I rarely served Yorkshire Puddings as they can be a bit of a faff on to make but then I saw people on Tik Tok batch cooking them in November for Christmas dinner prep so I thought I’d have a go. I’ve been making a big batch once a month since then and do about three times the recipe above – I make two trays of 12 to pop on the side of any meals where we’d want a Yorkshire Pudding. I also make as many of the larger ones that I can make as they’re great for loads of stuff, including Yorkshire Pudding wraps which are a huge favourite here!

They’re so easy to reaheat, they go with loads of different fillings and you can make both savoury and sweet treats with them. Whether you’ve made too many for your Sunday roast or like me, you have a lovely batch in the freezer waiting to be used, here’s a few tasty ideas to try out… 😊
1. Yorkshire pudding wraps
Warm a giant Yorkshire pudding, fill it with leftover meat, stuffing, veg and gravy, then roll it up like a burrito. This is by far our favourite way to use up Yorkshire puddings – so much so that we actually make larger puddings just to pop in the freezer so we have them in to make these wraps.

2. Mini toad-in-the-holes
Again, we love mini toad in the holes that much that we make them pretty often so if ever we have some Yorkshire puds leftover then we make a cheeky cheats version by popping some cooked sausage into each pudding often with some mash if we have that leftover. We pop them in the oven to heat up and serve with a cheeky drizzle of gravy! Such an easy tea.
3. Yorkshire pudding breakfast boats
Crack an egg into each Yorkshire pudding, sprinkle with cheese and bake until set. Add bacon or mushrooms if you fancy. And don’t think it’s weird to have them for breakfast, Toby carvery serves a version with red onion in the batter with their breakfast carvery. 😁
4. Garlic butter Yorkshires
Brush with garlic butter and pop into the airfryer for a few minutes. They puff back up and taste like the easiest Yorkshire-style garlic bread.
5. Yorkshire pudding pizzas
Add a spoon of tomato sauce, cheese and toppings, then bake until melty. Kids love these (and honestly, so do I 😂).
6. Yorkshire pudding nachos
Cut Yorkshires into pieces, airfry until crisp and top with cheese, salsa and whatever else you have. A weird one but genuinely delicious.
7. Sweet Yorkshires
Add a scoop of ice cream, berries or chocolate sauce and you have the most amazing pudding – I promise you won’t regret it.
8. Yorkshire pudding croutons
Cut into cubes, airfry until crispy and sprinkle onto soup or salads. I did this with my homemade tomato soup and it was lovely.
Yorkshire puddings are such a handy leftover because they transform into so many different meals with barely any effort. Hopefully this gives you a few ideas next time you find yourself with extras. 😊
