We’re five days in to the Summer Holidays here and I’m exhausted!
I asked the kids to write a quick list of things they wanted to do over the Summer Holidays and I’ve tried to cram a lot of them in this week as I’m off work with them all week. Not that it matters if we don’t get them all done as I’m off again in three weeks for a fortnight and I’m home by 3 o’clock on most days when I’m working but still, I wanted them to have as much fun as possible with me while I’m off work this week.
What that does mean is that we’ve had lots of fun together but I haven’t had much time for me and if I don’t take some time to relax then I’m going to be going back to work on Monday more in need of a break that when I closed my laptop last Thursday!
So this morning, while I was sat in the waiting room room at the hospital (a whole different post but basically – Miss Frugal, braces, 4 teeth out, heavy sedation. long wait for me) I wrote myself a list of things I’m going to do for ME….
I’m going to go upstairs in the middle of the day, shut my door and have a power nap.
I’m going to sit in my back garden with my Kindle and read.
I’m going to go for a walk with my camera and snap whatever takes my fancy.
I’m going to make myself a face mask, run a bubble bath and have a pamper.
I’m going to turn my phone off at 7pm on a night and leave it off until I get up the next morning. Maybe.
I’m going to find a complicated recipe on Pinterest and cook it!
I hope to do everything on my little Me list at least once – more would be even better though!

I'd love some me time, but sadly don't think i'll get any. x
I love this, so important to look after yourself. I started going to the gym for the first time this week so that's going to be my 'me time' x

Such great ideas. I bet you don't manage to keep your phone off though 😉 x
I love the idea of a summer wish list for myself, I'll have to give it some thought
