I'm all for saving money when we travel but I must admit that I was very reluctant to book a trip with Easyjet because I've heard such bad reports about them in the past. In the end we booked through them for our trip to Milan because the price was literally unbeatable.I was very pleasantly surprised with our Easyjet experience and having traveled with British Airways recently, I thought I'd share my experience with you so you can decide whether to book your flights with Easyjet who are known as a 'budget' airline or their more premium competitors, British Airways. Cost First of all, … [Read more...]

The Gardens at Wynyard Hall in the Spring….
Last weekend we decided to leave the kids at home in bed for a cheeky Sunday morning lie in and head to Wynyard Hall Gardens to have a look around as we keep hearing about how they're a lovely place to spend a few hours.I had a look on the website before we set off and found that there's lots to do there - there's a Walled Garden, a Marquee Garden, an Edible Garden, a Victorian-inspired Glasshouse, a little Farm Shop and a Café serving yummy looking homemade cake. Very early last Thursday morning, Miss Frugal and I set off on our long awaited adventure to New York. We'd spent months researching what we wanted to do and saving up to be able to afford to do it all and we'd pretty much scheduled the majority of our time while we were there to make sure we didn't miss a thing. We were so well organised that we knew exactly what we were going to be doing each day, how to get there, how much it would cost, what was nearby and even where we would be eating! It was all detailed in our trusty New York notebook that we'd been scribbling in since we booked our … [Read more...]

We even went on Halloween … [Read more...]
