Mr Frugal has been struggling lately with his Vertigo and our doctor has finally referred him to a specialist to see what can be done to help him. He's had more attacks lately and it's starting to affect our lives more than before.  Last week he had to ring me at work on his day off to get someone to pick the kids up and take them to school as he was having an attack and while we were on holiday a few weeks ago, he had an attack so bad in the airport that I didn't think they'd let us on the plane at one point!Anyway, we got a letter through from our doctors the other day with the telephone … [Read more...]

I usually know when I've taken a photo that I can use but I just came across this one when I was going through our holiday snaps. I'm not a big drinker but when I do drink, I enjoy a nice cocktail.I like my cocktails the way I like my meals - as simple as possible with as few ingredients as I can get away with and my taste has certainly improved since the time that I thought that mixing a cheap bottle of red wine that I won in a raffle with a bottle of Lambrini would make a lovely rose wine.  FYI - it doesn't.One of my favourite cocktails is the Lumumba:Apologies for the blurry picture, it was taken by my husband after one too many Lumumbas ;-) Traditionally the Lumumba is made from Brandy, hot chocolate … [Read more...]
