Five frugal things I've done this week: 1.  I bought some back to school stationery today in Tesco as it was half price.   I even managed to stock up on the pens that you can rub out (an essential piece of kit according to Miss Frugal) as well as some packs of school pencils reduced from £3.60 a pack to just £1.50.  I've cleared a drawer in the unit to store them until just before they go back otherwise there's be no trace of them come the start of September!2.  We're going away this weekend and the thought of the usual arguments over how we get there almost drove me to buy a sat nav … [Read more...]

I haven't really had time to be frugal or otherwise this week as it's been another chaotic week for one reason or another but I'll try and see if I can think of five things.... Five frugal things I've done this week: 1.  We went to the car boot sale last weekend to try and find some tennis rackets for the kids to play Tennis with over the Summer.  I usually buy some from the pound shop but as they're a bit older this year, I thought spending a bit more would be beneficial so we headed off to the boot sale.  We managed to buy two great Wilson rackets for £1 each which was a great bargain - one of them is a Venus and Serena Williams edition which is £20+ online to buy.  We also bought some badminton rackets from a couple of different stall holders and ended up paying … [Read more...]

Five frugal things I've done this week: 1. I'm still trying to get my garden in better shape ready for the Summer so I was over the moon when I found some plants reduced from £5 to 50p in Tesco last night.  They're currently sat on my little patio ready for me to plant in some pretty pots.2. I bought a big pack of Daz at Tesco this week reduced from £8 to £4 which will do at least 40 washes so it's a great deal at less than 10p a wash.  I'm never loyal to products like this as they all do just as good a job as each other in my eyes so I just look out for the best deal.  I'd normally … [Read more...]
