1) It's October and we haven't had the heating on yet - that's mostly been because the weather seems to have been a bit milder than usual but there have been a few days where I've considered it. I hate having the heating on because our house is quite a warm house anyway and it feels quite stuffy when the heating is on so I try to put it off as long as I can. I've added a nice fluffy blanket to the bottom of everyone's bed but I can't see that they've been used yet.2) Did you see my meal plan earlier this week? It was a total triumph for my batch cooking as I've had a super easy week for … [Read more...]
Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve done this week {30th September 2016}….
1) What would you do with some reduced sausages, a green pepper that's seen better days and a packed of butternut squash soup mix that was reduced to 5p? I made a non Slimming World version of my Slimming World quiche and it was amazing. I added some chives from our herb pot, some cheese and a mix of eggs and milk and cooked it in the oven until it was set!2) Also on my reduced shopping trip I bought the ingredients for a lovely casserole for a fraction of the normal price. Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve done this week {16th September 2016}….
1) I'm so excited about this one - after living in our house for six years we are finally getting the bathroom flooring replaced! It's needed doing for such a long time but I thought it would be much more expensive than it actually can be done for so we kept putting it off. You might have read my September goals post where I decided that one of my goals was to at least look into all of the things I wanted doing and this was the first thing. We popped along to a local store with the measurements of our three bathrooms (sounds way posher than it is - one's a teeny space downstairs and ones an … [Read more...]
